"The cross" or "crossing" is a strategy in Legion TD Mega which involves one player building strong enough to hold for himself and his lane partner, while the partner goes heavy into Economy. This results in certain Towers becoming much stronger than they would otherwise be in a solo lane due to having twice as much gold to put behind them, and having more lumber on the "income" player than would otherwise be possible, sometimes even more than two solo lanes combined.

The player who is building to hold both waves must build to first catch their partner's side, then their units will automatically run to their own lane and catch it as well. The income player builds minimal towers, for delaying the holder's side while the holder kills the other side. Usually one tier 2 tower or two tier 1 towers is all that the income partner needs to make for the delay.
